I do like Trilian's "Studio Bridge" quite a bit, and the Vintage is great for vintage.
They just didn't slice through with that nice resonance that real basses and good preamps have. Dont discount the synth bass patches in Trilian - I have the Arturia synths, and the Trilian synth basses sound great compared to those. You wont find a better acoustic upright bass than Trilians, thats for sure. Trilian (latest version) trumps all of them, IMO. Older "Red" samples were 16 bit (I believe) and a little too soft I thought. Trust me, Ive tried ALL the electric basses out there, including the Scarbee ones. There are very few all in one bass libraries like Trilian. Scarbee Bass, Trilian Bass, AmpleSound Bass Review. I'm curious if any of you have both Trillian and Scarbee and can comment on their differences. I've been using the Kontakt Scarbee basses for a while and I just can't seem to get the tone I want.
